We Have Hit $200K! Art Upgrade Unlocked!

At last, we are here with another update after a long while! We are happy to announce that we have passed $200,000 of funding and our new stretch goal, our final Art Upgrade, is unlocked! We thank you for your support and for making this possible!
Art! Bloody Art!
With three artwork upgrades unlocked in total, we have a good amount of budget that we will allocate to the artwork in our books. We can’t wait to see the amazing work like the rest of you, because even though we’ve always been generous with funds when it comes to artwork, we feel it’s never enough.
With this stretch goal unlocked, we’d like to tell you that the Bloodpunk books will have the largest number of artwork in all our titles! Our art director, Umut Comak, has always been fond of reinforcing our content with the art in our books. This time, he will be able to visualize nearly everything, giving immense life to our content and stories within!
To the Next Expansion We Go!
With the passing of $200,000, we are also close to our next stretch goal, Adventure Expansion at $250,000. We are now quite confident that we will be able to hit this stretch goal as well, and will thus be able to provide you with a prolonged adventure of levels 1 to 11!

Bloodpunk Novella Unlocked!

Hello proud citizens of Kanrath and Cyherested,
We are here again with a new update on our stretch goals. We are now past $170 K and you have unlocked our Bloodpunk Novella stretch goal!
As TTRPG designers, we enjoy designing realms and new content for 5E, because doing so we can make new things come to life. Yet, when we see a realm of ours, a story we have told, become the foundation of a story book, we truly feel what we’ve created has come alive!
Reading Svilland in the short novel The Bear King, from the pen of a famous author, Steven Savile, was a remarkable feeling for us. Now, we are very excited and extremely happy to see this stretch goal unlocked, as we will have the chance to read another story by him, based on our creations!
Bloodpunk Novella Add-On
To celebrate this stretch goal, we would like to let you know that the short novel’s PDF is a gift to all our backers who made a PDF pledge or above! Also, the Bloodpunk short novel in print will be an add-on in the Backerkit pledge manager.
For those who would like to see Steven’s style in our books, we will also post a 15-page passage from our previous novella in PDF, The Bear King, which takes place in Svilland!
A Few Words from Steven Savile
We are incredibly grateful to you for making this a reality. We are glad we will get to see this novel come to life, with you by our side! Here, we’d like to let our dear friend Steven Savile briefly tell you about his works so far:
“Hey all, some of you might remember me from the Svilland book, The Bear King, others might have come across me elsewhere, so for a few seconds I figure I’d tell you about myself. I kinda hate doing this part as it always feels like it comes across as a humble brag (or not so humble) but sometimes it’s just good to know what the name you are seeing has been up to, so… I’ve been writing a long time. My first published work goes all the way back to the ‘90s, with my first actual books being the kids adaptations of Return of the Jedi and Jurassic Park II: The Lost World for Dorling Kindersley in the UK. In the (far too many) years since then, I’ve worked on a lot of very cool projects including Warhammer, Doctor Who, Primeval, Torchwood, Slaine, Pathfinder, Stargate, and a bunch of others. In terms of games, most recently I’ve been writing mobile phone games for Yoozoo, including Simure Viking Saga, and right now a new one called Eastern Journey, which is a Silk Road game. Over the last few years I’ve also written core rule books and world books for the RiotMinds games Trudvang, LexOccultum and Ruin Masters, and way back, I wrote the storyline for Battlefield 3 for EA. I also wrote Stellaris: Infinite Frontiers, which has sold over 150,000 copies now - not bad seeing it was written before the game was finished, and a long time before any of its lore was locked down ha!
That’s not to say that everything I do is tied into games. I’ve written a lot of books over the years, including Glass Town, Coldfall Wood and White Peak for St Martins Press in the US, Sunfail for Akashic Books in the US; Parallel Lines for Titan and The Memory Man and The Black Shepherd for Severn House in the UK. Under pseudonyms I’ve written five Rogue Angel novels (Alex Archer), and been nominated for the People’s Book Prize in the UK (Black Flag, Matt Langley). Most recently I’ve just sold two books as NK CURRAN to Constable Crime, I Know Who You Were, and I Know Where You Died for release next year.
At heart, I’ve always been a roleplayer, starting back at uni in the late 80s, it’s just steeped into who I am, and my ethos is pretty much always the same, I’ll only get involved in something if it feels like FUN. I love exploring new game worlds and getting to grips with things, looking for the story in the fluff that lights a fire in my imagination and has me wanting to know more about this particular aspect. Sometimes it can be a throw away line, or a very vague detail of a happening, or as with the Bear King a few paragraphs of backstory that just begged something more—that more in my head was Mavnos and the Girl… but you have to read it to understand exactly what that means, because it isn’t what you’d expect…
What can I tell you about this one? Not very much at all—beyond the fact that the term we’ve used in the stretchgoal description is slightly misleading as when people think ‘novella’ they think of something short, maybe 50-80 pages, but what we are looking at here is around 55,000-60,000 words—which is in keeping with the older fantasy novels like Michael Moorcock’s seminal Elric novels. It’s short enough for you to devour it, but long enough for it to pack several gut punches and be filled with dizzying stuff that helps bring the world alive for you.”

Two Nice Surprises! A New Pledge and Stretch Goal

Hello proud citizens of Kanrath and Cyherested,
We’ve had a great start together so far, and ever since our first day, we are watching for every feedback and trying our best to make sure your wishes for this project come true. We have done so with VTTs, coming to agreements with Roll20, Shard Tabletop, and finally Foundry VTT.
Today, we want to let you know that we are making two other suggestions we have received from you into a reality: Adventure expansion, and Svilland titles in a DRS Bundle pledge!
Adventure Expansion Coming!
A repeatedly-occurring feedback from many of you was the request for a longer adventure with levels reaching the double digits. Well, we are now answering your call and have another surprise for you: adventure level expansion from 1-7 to 1-11 is on its way!
Adventure Expansion Stretch Goal
In order to increase the ending level from 7 to 11, we need additional budgeting for the additional content, as well as for the print cost of a longer book. To do so, we decided to make this a stretch goal: the Adventure Expansion will be the $250K stretch goal.
We are changing our $250K stretch goal from More Monsters/NPCs to Adventure Expansion. Please note that with the additional content needed for the adventure consisting of many more encounters with creatures as well as dialogues with interesting NPCs, new monsters and NPCs will already be integrated into this expansion of the adventure.
Svilland Titles are Coming!
Another suggestion we have had from you was the addition of Svilland titles for those who have missed our Svilland & Freyja’s Tears Kickstarter campaign. For this, we are making the Svilland campaign setting and Freyja’s Tears adventure available in our new pledge: DRS Bundle.
DRS Bundle Pledge
The Drs Bundle pledge will be priced at £142 (approx. $178), which is the price of Collection pledge + the Svilland titles, and will include Svilland Campaign Setting hardcover and PDF, Freyja’s Tears hardcover and PDF, and Svilland VTT of your choice as a gift on top of the regular Collection pledge. Anyone who is not an early-bird pledge backer can adjust their pledge to this new one in order to receive its rewards.
If you are an early-bird backer in Bloodpunk, you will be able to upgrade your pledge to the DRS Bundle pledge in the Backerkit pledge manager after the Kickstarter campaign. The cost to upgrade will be £62 (approx. $78) which is the cost of Svilland titles only. Please note that we are not able to offer an early-bird discount for the Svilland titles, as that privilege was reserved for the backers of the Svilland & Freyja’s Tears Kickstarter campaign we have fulfilled before.
Svilland Titles as Add-Ons
If you do not wish to upgrade your pledges to the DRS Bundle, but would still like to receive any or all of the Svilland titles we are offering here, you will be able to get them as add-ons in the Backerkit pledge manager after the Kickstarter campaign. However, please note that the add-ons will be more expensive in the add-ons store.

We’ve Passed 2000 Backers! OMG

Dear proud citizens of Kanrath and Cyherested,
We are glad to announce that we have now passed 2000 backers for Bloodpunk! It has only been 5 days and we are already at more than two thousand backers! To have such an interest in our work in such a short while is a big surprise for us, and we feel incredibly encouraged (and hyped) about our work.
Ever since our first Kickstarter, we’ve tried doing our best in our books. However, we are still a growing studio and get surprised when we realize we have just tackled another step to becoming even a bigger studio. This campaign is proving to be such an occasion, and for that, we wish to thank you.
With Bloodpunk, we’ve tried to think outside of the box, and wished to provide TTRPG players with a fresh take on the game. Your support and interest in our work humbles us beyond words, and we know that we will have the courage to sign off on even more original projects, knowing we’ve got your encouragement to back us!
We are extremely grateful, and believe that we can make Bloodpunk even more awesome with your help, as we know you also want the project to become the best it can be, with as many rewards as possible under its belt!
